Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
This coming Sunday we enter into Holy Week, the most sacred and significant week of the Christian year. It is the time when we walk closely with Our Lord through His Passion, death, and glorious Resurrection. I want to encourage each of you, as strongly as I can, to make space in your lives this week to take part fully in these holy mysteries.
Too often, the busyness of life crowds out what matters most. Holy Week is not just another set of services—it is an invitation. An invitation to deepen your faith, to encounter Christ more profoundly, and to be renewed. Time and again, I have seen lives changed and hearts awakened when people truly enter into this week with intention. It is also a time when new vocations are heard and embraced, when God’s call becomes clearer in the stillness and prayer of these sacred days.
Please clear your schedules where you can, come along, and be present.
Our principal services are as follows:
Palm Sunday
Procession of Palms and Parish Mass – 10.00am
Holy Tuesday
Chrism Mass at St Andrew’s Holborn – 11.00am
Maundy Thursday
Mass of the Last Supper & Watch until Midnight – 8:00pm
Good Friday
Stations of the Cross – 10:00am
Liturgy of the Passion – 3:00pm
Holy Saturday
Lighting of the Easter Fire, Vigil & First Mass of Easter – 8:00pm
Easter Sunday
Parish Mass with Easter Egg Hunt – 10:00am
Each of these liturgies reveals a different part of the great story of our salvation. Together, they form one continuous act of worship that culminates in the joy of Easter morning.
Whether you are a regular worshipper or have been away for some time, this is the perfect moment to return, to reflect, and to be renewed.
Let us walk this journey together.
With every blessing,
Fr Sean
